Very busy week with little accomplished…………………………………………………

As always, first the chronology:

9/8/24 – Sunday – Up at the usual time. Cleaned up and out to church with Kathy. Home and lunch. Down to do the blog. Over to Gary’s for the afternoon get together. Home, picked up the benches for the grand daughters and Kathy and over to Shelbyville to Cattleman’s for dinner. Then over to the Rice residence and dropped off the benches for the girls. Home and usual evening routine.

9/9/24 – Monday – Up at 6AM and off to work. Court started at 8:30 so we had to be open at 8AM. Rather short day. Finished up a little after noon. Home and changed. Short nap then out with Kathy to my podiatrist appointment. Stopped at T-Mobile to get the screen protector put on her new Iphone 15. Then to Kroger to pick up a prescription for Kathy. Over to Taylorsville and up the hill to the Mexican restaurant for dinner. Usual evening routine.

9/10/24 – Tuesday – Up at 6AM and off to work. Court started at 8:30 so we again had to be open at 8AM. Court was over quickly today. I was home by 11AM. Had plans to do stuff in preparation for our trip but slept instead. Up in time for dinner then over to Shelbyville for a HAM club meeting.

9/11/24 – Wednesday – Up at 6AM and off to work. Had several court sessions today including drug court. Finished at 3:30PM Home and a nap. Up for dinner and some chores. Usual evening routine.

9/12/24 – Thursday – Up at 6AM and off to work. Started at 7:30AM and worked till 4PM with an hour off for lunch. Home and crashed. Dinner and usual evening routine.

9/13/24 – Friday – Up at 6AM and off to work. Started at 8AM and court was over at 12:30. Home with a stop at the church to see if Kathy needed help. She was finishing up so I came home and got dressed down. Checked the mail and did some chores till Kathy got home. Had lunch then a nap till about 4PM. Up and dressed and out to dinner at the local Chinese restaurant. A stop at Country Mart on the way home. Usual evening routine.

9/14/24 – Saturday – Up late today. Slept in till 9AM. Up and breakfast, Usual Saturday morning routine plus ordered some medication. Then out to the Morton building and put my new shelving unit together for my TARPN node. Cleaned up the wood working stuff along with paint, etc. Inside for lunch. Kathy came home from shopping so I helped her unload things. Then a nap. Up and dinner. Back out to finish cleaning the inside of the truck. Buttoned things up and inside for usual evening routine.

Now the particulars:

Worked a lot this week. Did a half day Monday, Tuesday and Friday and a full day Wednesday and Thursday. That did not allow too much time to get things done at the house. It seems that when I get up that early I just want to sleep when I get home. I need to figure that out so I’m not spending so much time napping.

I did get the flower benches finished and delivered to the grand daughters. Haven’t heard any complaints so I’m assuming they are happy with them. If their not, I’m sure I’ll hear about it eventually. Anyway, that cleared out a lot of space in the Morton building for me to get other things done.

Monday after work I had a podiatrist appointment. Told him the compression socks help but I’m not comfortable with the medication. He said I really didn’t have any other options so I guess I’ll try it again after our trip this week.

Tuesday I had a HAM club meeting in Shelbyville. Not sure I’m going to tolerate this for much longer. A bunch of little kids giggling and making jokes. Maybe I was just in a bad mood.

The rest of the week was essentially work and sleep. Saturday I finally got the motivation to build the new shelving unit for my TARPN network stuff. Then I cleaned up all the wood working and painting stuff and made a lot of room. Started cleaning out the inside of the truck. Ran out of steam and went inside for a nap and dinner. Then back out and finished up. Just need to run it through the car wash tomorrow to get the outside clean and then do the windows and we will be ready to go.

If you didn’t notice, Lynn responded to my blog last week with an update on what is going on with her. Much appreciated and I’m sure others enjoyed it. Thanks Lynn.

Well that’s about it for this week. I’m not sure how things will go next week. I’ll try to keep up with things but don’t be surprised if the blog is a little late next week. We will see.
