Not a very productive week…………………………………………………………………………..

As always, first the chronology:

8/17/25 – Sunday – Up at 8AM. Off to church with Kathy. Had a pot luck lunch after church. Home and put things away. A 20 minute nap then over to Gary’s for the afternoon get together. Home, picked up Kathy and over to Cracker Barrel for dinner. Home and usual evening routine.

8/18/25 – Monday – Up around 8AM. Kathy was off for a doctor’s appointment. Got another appoinment in the afternoon plus she had to take Shelby to the doctor. She was gone most of the day. I worked in the shack putting new connector on inverter and put all the portable stuff away. Did some cleanup in the kitchenette area. Played radio and did some house hold chores. Kathy got home around 6PM so we had dinner. Then usual evening routine.

8/19/25 – Tuesday – Up around 8AM. Kathy was off again taking care of grand kids. I spent the day in the shack trying to do some cleanup and work a little CW. Kathy came home late afternoon and we had dinner. Usual evening routine.

8/20/25 – Wednesday – Up at 6AM and off to work. Worked the back door to the main court house from 8AM to about 3:45PM with a good hour off for lunch. Home and some chores. Dinner and to bed.

8/21/25 – Thursday – Up at 6AM and off to work. Worked the door to the Circuit Court Clerks office from 7:30AM to 4PM with an hour off for lunch. Home, changed clothes and out to Cattleman’s Steakhouse with Kathy to have dinner with the Mangums. Had a good time and saw the Swigerts while there. Home with a quick stop at Country Mart. Had some dessert then to bed.

8/22/25 – Friday – Up late today, about 10:30. Got cleaned up and into work at 12:15 to relieve a co-worker that had some things to do this afternoon. Worked till 4PM. Home, dinner, some chores and to bed.

8/23/25 – Saturday – Not a very productive day. Up around 9AM. Had breakfast and back to bed for awhile. Up and chores around the house. Had lunch and downstairs to try and work some CW. Up for dinner and usual evening routine.

Now the specifics:

Not sure if I mentioned it last week but Kathy had a bout with chiggers the early part of last week. Apparently it caused a skin infection and her left leg was swollen, red and had deep red spots all over it. She was able to get to her primary care doctor that figured this all out so that was good. She had a couple bad days the beginning of the week with hauling kids around for Julie and getting doctor’s appointments in beside. I tried to do as much around the house to give her a break. I still felt bad for her on Wednesday so the boss got me an order of roses with baby’s breath, bow, card, etc. to pick up after work and take home to her.

And they really looked good for a little over $36. She was happy and I guess it cheered her up a little.

Only other exciting thing was going out to dinner on Thursday with our friends Dave and Ginny. They are always great to go out with. Dave is the president of the HAM club and we also ran into Mike and Jannell Swigert. Mike was the past president of the club. Anyway we had a great time.

Other than that, it was chores around the house. Got some of the shack cleaned up and I have a shit load more to do. But that will come as time allows.

I will be going out to Taylorsville Lake Park this coming Monday for a POTA outing. So not much will get down now till Tuesday next week.
