A very good week………………………………………………..

As always, first the chronology:

10/19/25 – Sunday – Up around 8AM. Cleaned up and out to church. Had a business meeting after service so I was late getting home. Had lunch and a short nap then out to see Gary for the afternoon get together. Back to Taylorsville and stopped at the Chinese restaurant and got some takeout. Quick stop at Country Mart for some groceries. Home, put thing away and had dinner. Usual evening routine.

10/20/25 – Monday – Up around 8AM. Got cleaned up and out to the bank for some cash. Then up to Mike and Julie’s to check the place and give water to the hermit crabs. Then to Hooters for lunch and a quick stop at one of my old watering holes. Things have changed. Home, took a nap, then made dinner for myself. Usual evening routine.

10/21/25 – Tuesday – Up around 8AM. Finished the cleanup project on my desk area in the shack. Renewed my driver’s license online and got my auto pay setup for the new Jeep. Now the desk and radio area look presentable. Only thing left is the work bench. Had the usual for lunch and some left over chicken parm for dinner. Usual evening routine.

10/22/25 – Wednesday – Up around 8AM. Cleaned up and started laundry. Down and checked some thumb drives to see what was on them. Got a texted from my friend Stan that he was leaving Michigan and headed this way. Had lunch. Spent the afternoon playing radio till Stan arrived then out to Taylorsville for Mexican for dinner. Usual evening routine.

10/23/25 – Thursday – Up around 8AM. Had breakfast, cleaned up and out to the new range. Home for lunch, then out to look at the hitch on Stan’s car. Wrote down the hardware we needed. Cleaned up and out to Olive Garden for dinner. Stopped at Lowes for hardware and the range for more ammo. Home and usual evening routine.

10/24/25 – Friday – Up around 8AM and off to the range again. Had coffee afterward at the restaurant at the range. Home and lunch. Out to fix the hitch on Stan’s car. Back inside and waited till we saw Kathy’s plane land which was around 6:30PM. Stan drove me up to Mike and Julie’s so I could drive Kathy’s car back home as she had been up since 4AM our time. Got Stan back to our place then we all went to Hometown Pizza for dinner.

10/25/25 – Saturday – Up around 8AM. Had breakfast and started cleaning guns. Did more talking than cleaning finished up a little after 12 noon. Up for lunch. A rather long nap. Up for dinner and usual evening routine.

Now the specifics:

I am very proud of my self that I finally got the desk and work area over there cleaned up.

Here’s a picture of the finished project. Wish I had taken a before picture so you actually see the difference, but it was dramatic.

Managed to get he payment for the car and all that financing scheduled so that will all happen automatically. Also got my drivers license renewed online and a doctor’s appointment scheduled for next week. Need my knees looked at.

Stan showed up Wednesday later afternoon. Had a good time with him. We went to the new shooting range which is really state of the art.

Kathy came home late Friday and she had driven her car up to Mike and Julie’s last Friday so rather than have her drive home in the dark and tired, Stan drove me up and I drove her home.

Stan plans to stay till Monday which will be nice. It’s really been good seeing him.

Well sorry for the short blog but things are still busy here. Perhaps I’ll have more to relate next time.
