Not an exciting week but got some things done……………………….
As always, first the chronology:
11/9/25 – Sunday – Up around 8AM. Cleaned up and out to church with Kathy. Home, lunch and a short nap before going to Gary’s for the afternoon get together. Called Kathy when I was leaving and drove over to the body shop where she was dropping off her car, then to Cracker Barrel for dinner. Stop for a few groceries on the way home, otherwise, usual evening routine.
11/10/25 – Monday – Up at 6AM and out at 7AM for an appointment with the pain and spine management center. Took awhile and didn’t get home till almost lunch time. In the mean time, Kathy was taking Bella down for her flu vacine. Had lunch when she came home. Then upstairs to start bringing down winter clothes. Spent the rest of the day doing that.
11/11/25 – Tuesday – Up at 7AM, cleaned up and out for a hair cut. Home and continue putting out winter clothes and packing up summer clothes. Finished that by late afternoon. Then hauled all the hanging clothes and crates up to the storage area. Otherwise, usual evening routine.
11/12/25 – Wednesday – Kathy was out and about with grand kids today so I spent most of the day doing computer updates and backups.
11/13/25 – Thursday – Up at 6AM and into work. Worked the Circuit Court Clerks office from 7:30AM to 4PM with and hour for lunch. Got off work and headed home. Kathy wasn’t there so I got out of my uniform and took a little nap. Kathy came home and we went over to pick up her car at the body shop. Stopped on the way home for Arby’s for dinner and Country Mart for some groceries. Home and usual evening routine.
11/14/25 – Friday – Spent the morning checking medical coverage and making an appointment for my MRI. Ran errands in the afternoon. Took my new work shirt over to Adina to have her do the embroidery. Took Kathy to Taylorsville for Chinese at dinner time.
11/15/25 – Saturday – Up at 8AM this morning. Had breakfast and Kathy and I decided it was time to go back to bed. So we went back to bed for a couple hours, got up and had lunch. Then I came downstairs to finish up an online course I started at work on Thursday. Kathy re-potted some plants. Then we went out together and put up the Christmas lights since it was so nice. We won’t turn them on for awhile but at least they are up. Had burgers on the grill for dinner. Usual evening routine.
Now the particulars:
The lady at pain and spine management agreed that I should start back with the exercises. In the mean time she wants to get a handle on any changes that may have occurred with my spine. So this coming Friday I go for an MRI. So, this is a game to figure out if it’s my back, knee or hip that is causing the problem. I will keep you updated as more information is available.
It was rather cold the beginning of the week so Kathy and I decided it was time to bring down the winter clothes and put away the summer clothes. That was a two day project. Of course we got things moved around and Saturday it was warm enough to do burgers on the grill.
Kathy had something put a hole in her front bumper and it damaged some of the light supports. Ended up costing in the neighborhood of $2500. But the work was perfect. Could not tell that it was damaged.
Work was light this week. I only work my usual Thursday shift as there was no court. Next week will be different. Tuesday I will fill in for probate and juvenile court on Tuesday. That should be a short day. Then work the handicap door to the main courtroom on Wednesday and that will probably be all day. Then my usual shift on Thursday.
Had a couple online courses to take for work. Tried to get them knocked out Thursday but there was too much going on. I finished the first course up Saturday and I’ll try getting the other one done this coming Thursday.
Well that’s about it for this week. As always, hope this finds you safe and healthy. Stay that way and I’ll blog at you again next week.
Reading the blog early this week. I was crocheting and my hands needed a break, so I thought to go read the blog before I forgot.
Tried to convince myself to go outside and do some leaf raking, but the lawn guy will be here tomorrow to mow. That will cut down on what I need to pick up and it was somewhat breezy today. Good decision!
I will be getting things together for my annual trek across I-10. Of course the car will be filled with all kinds of things. That drive is sooooo boring. Need to pick up the things on my patio/screen room and store them for winter. Change batteries in the cameras and outside lighting around the house. Just busy stuff.
Its that time of year to get all the medical and dental stuff taken care of before I leave. Also, hair perm appointment. When you get old, it seems all you do is go to doctor appointments!
Hope they can determine if it is your knee, hip or spine that is causing you an issue. So you’ll be doing the doctor thing too!
Time to go and see what I have in the fridge that I cooked for dinner. I do my cooking for a number of days, then all I have to do is warm things up.
Take care…
