Now the specifics:

Work was busy. I covered family court on Monday and did the Circuit Court Clerks office both Wednesday and Thursday. Those two days together working 7:30AM to 4PM really wore me out. But it was coverage for a guy whose wife was in the hospital so I didn’t mind doing it.

Kathy was not feeling well this week. Had all the symptoms of a cold. Did the COVID, Flu A and Flu B tests and they all showed negative. I was a little worried about her because she tends to try and diagnosis herself but she was switching around with so many different things it worried me. I finally got her to go the Urgent Care and she had an ear infection. So, some antibiotics and that took care of that.

My cousin/brother-in-law is not doing well. For those that forgot, my cousin and I married sisters. That makes things a little confusing when you try to explain how two sisters have the same last married name. Anyway, Lee had a severe stroke several weeks ago and he was suppose to be coming home on Tuesday this week. But he developed a UTI so they kept him till Saturday. My sister-in-law Judy asked if Kathy would come up and help take care of him at home till things settled down. So Kathy packed up and went up on Friday this week. No idea when she will return.

Still doing the PT thing and having it’s ups and downs. Getting very frustrated. I often feel like giving up and just accept the fact I’m old and I can’t be doing some of the things I want to do. So far people have talked me out of that. We’ll see where it goes in April when I go back to Pain and Spine Management.

Had a check engine light come on in the Jeep. Tried to read the code with my OBD reader but it said it wouldn’t connect to the computer. It turned out to be a stuck thermostat. I asked them how they got the code and I got an education about standard readers not being able to read out Chrysler products. They have to buy a subscription to a service to do that and ths reader has to have internet access as well. Just another way to nickle and dime you to death.

So this coming week since Kathy is gone I will play Cab service for the twins. One has a Dermatology appointment early Wednesday morning and the other on Friday. So that’s another two days this week I gotta get up early.

Well, I think that’s about it for this week. I’m sure I’ll have some interesting things to tell next week with being home alone with the dogs. As always, hope this finds you safe and healthy. Stay that way and I’ll blog at you again next week.
