Week Ending 3/21/26

Another rather laid back week………………………………………………………………………………………..

As always, first the chronology:

3/15/26 – Sunday – Up around 8AM. Ready and out to church. Felt sick at church so came home right after sermon. Kathy stayed for the lunch after church. I laid down awhile then had light lunch and headed into J-town for HAM testing. Home and nap. Up and out to Cattleman’s Roadhouse for dinner.

3/16/26 – Monday – Fixed Allstar and a few other things on the internet that I’ve been neglecting. Did some reading. Not much else exciting today.

3/17/26 – Tuesday – Up at 8AM and out for a dentist appointment. Back before around 11:30. Had lunch then a nap. Then out to dinner with the Craycrofts. Home and usual evening routine.

3/18/26 – Wednesday – Up around 9AM. Kathy was out shopping and spent the rest of the day making Pasta Fagiole soup for church and I spent time on the phone and doing computer work.

3/19/26 – Thursday – Up at 6AM and off to work. Manned the door at the Circuit Court Clerks office from 7:30AM to 4PM. Home dinner and usual evening routine.

3/20/26 – Friday – Up around 9AM. Spent the day on the phone doing business and chatting with people. Nothing else exciting.

3/21/26 – Saturday – Up at 8AM. Cleaned up and dressed. Kathy was out shopping. She came home and we went to Cracker Barrel for lunch to celebrate me and my daughter’s birthdays. Home and nap. Chores around the house. Dinner and usual evening routine.

Now the particulars:

The most exciting thing this week was the birthdays. Mine was on the 19th and Julie’s was on the 18th. With all the family commitments and work constraints we decided to have our mutual celebration on Saturday at lunch time.

Here is the group. Just in case you forgot, left to right, Shelby, Dee, Me, Kathy, Chloe, Carter, Mike and Julie. Yes, Julie is holding a baby doll. Chloe has a class in school were they have to take care of this doll as though it is their own baby. Sorta ridiculous from my perspective but is a good shot at population control.

The folks in the Circuit Court Clerks office surprised me with a hand made card. The front of it as it came out of the envelope looked like this.

Then you pulled the collar up from the rest of the card and got this.

Rather unique.

And I must thank all those people that texted me, called me, left posts on facebook, etc. It was really a very nice day.

That is about all the excitement for this week. As always, hope this finds you safe and healthy. Stay that way and I’ll blog at you again next week.
