Then took the tractor over to the house and put the battery conditioners on the golf cart and the tractor. Kathy went shopping so we helped with groceries. Then out to the Mexican restaurant for dinner. Dessert at Dairy Queen and home. Helped Kathy with some cooking. Then usual evening routine.

Home with a stop on the way to pick up flowers for Chloe. Julie, Mike and the kids came over for dinner then we had Christmas with Todd. The Rice family departed. We cleaned up some things. Otherwise the usual evening routine.
Now the particulars:
First I promised to let you know about the audio project. Well I completed it on Monday. Here is the finished product.

Wednesday was the most productive day. Got Gary out for our hair cuts. Then came home and helped Kathy put up the outside Christmas lights. Sorry I don’t have a pictures but it’s been a busy week. Also got the replacement batteries for the UPS. It’s amazing that fresh batteries fixed the problem even though the old batteries tested good. Then in the evening, Kathy and I went to the Advent service at my church.
Thursday the real excitement started. We went to the airport and picked up Todd. Thursday evening we went to the Gausthaus German Restaurant for dinner with the Rice Family. Food was excellent as was the service and of course the company was amazing. Here are a couple pictures. I couldn’t get everyone in on one shot.

Mike and Julie came over to play cards with Kathy and Todd and to spend some time with Todd. I took the opportunity to hide in the shack and take care of some business and do emails.
Friday afternoon Todd offered to help me in the shop. We took the mower deck off the tractor and put the plow blade on. Much easier with two people. We took the tractor over to the house and backed it in beside the Golf Cart. Got everything hooked up to battery conditioners. All is ready for winter now.
Saturday was the hi-light of the week. Our grand daughter Chloe performed in an abbreviated version of the Nutcracker at the Palace theater in downtown Louisville. The dance troupe was from a school in Crestwood, KY and had kids age 8 to 18. It was amazing what these kids could do. We were not allowed to film or take any pictures during the performance but I’ll share what I have.
This is a very nervous Chloe outside the Palace before going in.

And here are some pictures that were snapped backstage and in the dressing room.

For those of you not from around Kentucky, the Palace theater is one of the oldest buildings in downtown Louisville. The last time I was there I saw Celtic Woman playing. Most of the big named performances are held there. The inside is beautiful and very ornate. I didn’t get any good pictures but here is what I got.
This is the curtain with a projection before the show.

Here is a very blurry picture of just one of the many ornate features inside the theater.

As I mentioned, we were not allowed to take pictures during the performance. Claimed it would distract the performers. But here are a couple pictures from the dress rehearsal.

And this was a very depressed Chloe leaving the theater. She was so upset that all the excitement was over.

Anyway, we were all so proud of her and her accomplishments. After the show we all went back to our house and Kathy made a Thanksgiving meal for Todd that we all enjoyed.
Well that’s it for this week. As always, hope this finds everyone safe and healthy. Blog at you again next week.
Glad Todd got to come for a visit. Chloe is a very pretty young lady. You are one busy man! Stay safe!
