A busy week………………………………………………….

As always, first the chronology:

2/13/22 – Sunday – Up at the usual time.  Cleaned up and out to church with Kathy.  Home, lunch and did the blog.  Out to Gary’s for the afternoon get together.  Home and picked up Kathy and out to Milano’s for dinner.  Home and usual evening routine.

2/14/22 – Monday – Up at the usual time.  Didn’t sleep well last night.  Kathy was already out to do something with Shelby.  I took the truck over to the U-haul place but they were closed.  Down to the auto parts place for a filter for the lawn mower.  They didn’t have anything.  A total bust for the morning.  Home and started putting things away and organizing for the trip.  Kathy came home and we had lunch.  Then a nap.  Chores and dinner.  Usual evening routine.

2/15/22 – Tuesday – Up a little early today for some reason.  Kathy got a call to go up and take Chloe to the doctor’s.  I paid bills and got things caught up through the end of the month.  Kathy came home and we went down to Subway for lunch.  Then stopped at the U-haul dealer to make sure all was well with the reservation on the trailer.  Home and ran some trimmer pots over to Gary.  Then back and started loading stuff in the back of the truck.  In for dinner and usual evening routine.

2/16/22 – Wednesday – Up a little early again today.  Just got awake.  Cleaned up and out for blood work at the doctor’s office.  Stopped at the bank on the way home and got some traveling cash.  Finished packing up the bed of the truck.  In for lunch.  A nap, chores around the house including bill paying till the end of the month and renewing my driver’s license.  Dinner and usual evening routine.

2/17/22 – Thursday – Up at the usual time.  Over to pick up the trailer for our trip to New York.  Home and Kathy went for a dentist appointment.  I got my stuff finished up and packed in the shack.  Then upstairs.  Kathy brought burgers home from Lynda’s.  Then she took the dogs to Pet Suites.  I finished packing all the stuff I needed.  Kathy got home and we loaded the trailer.  Julie, Mike and the grand kids came over for Chinese for dinner.  Usual evening routine.

2/18/22 – Friday – Up at the usual time.  Cleaned up and loaded the last things in the truck.  Departed the house around 9:30AM.  Stopped for lunch around 12:45 after crossing into West Virginia.  Continued to Morgantown where we stayed for the night.  Had dinner at Ruby Tuesday’s.  All is going well so far.

2/19/22 – Saturday – Up a little early this morning.  Was snowing when we departed Morgantown, WV.  A difficult drive across route 64 through Maryland.  Cleared up past Cumberland and up 220 into Pennsylvania.  Then all hell broke loose around Altoona, PA.  We started getting snow squalls that were blinding.  A car pulled in front of me and stopped in the middle of the road.  Just made it past him.  Got over toward State College, PA and things cleared up.  The rest of the trip was mostly unimpressive.  Got to our motel in New York around 4:30PM.  Out to Applebees for dinner and some shopping at Walmart.  Otherwise, usual evening routine.

Now the specifics:

Spent most of the week getting ready for our trip to New York. Had issues getting confirmation that the U-haul was good to go but finally got that resolved. Managed to get everything loaded the wife wanted to take.

The trip was very long. Friday wasn’t bad but Saturday we started out from Morgantown, WV with snow. It continued till we got to Cumberland, MD. Then got nailed again after passing Altoona, PA. Got in blinding Snow Squalls. Traffic was terrible. Assholes pulling in front of me and hitting the brakes. Damn near wiped out twice. But we made it.

Went for blood work on Wednesday morning in preparation for a doctor’s appointment when I return. All the results look great.

That’s about it for this week. Didn’t do much other than plan and preparing for the trip. I will probably have much more next week.
