Now the specifics:

I guess the highlight of the week was Stan visiting. We didn’t get to see him last year as we were in Assateaque visiting our friends Jim and Joyce. So, it’s been two years since we saw him. He seems to be doing well. We talked a lot and ate out a lot. He helped us clean the church. The lady that could have done it for us was on vacation so we had to do it. Stan hates to be idle so we held off closing the pool till he got here to help. Then we went shooting Saturday morning. He got a new 38 pistol that he wanted to try out. It was a good time out. We greatly enjoyed his visit but hope he makes it longer the next time. As things are changing in his life he might be stopping here on his way back up in the spring. But at our age, everything is subject to change.

I did check in with Lynn about all the stuff she was posting on facebook for sale. Everything is OK with her. She just decided to get rid of some things that she didn’t need and put some money in her pocket as well. So that is all good.

Spoke to my buddy Ron that used to work with me at AT&T. As I said last week, it’s that time of year to move money around and to look at healthcare again. Ron and I always get our heads together on these things as we highly respect each other’s opinion. I’ve made my decisions, he will make his in the next couple weeks and we will compare notes again.

My friend Jim that has been in the hospital for many months this year finally got a break to go to Assateaque for a few days and relax. Of course while they were there, his wife Joyce managed to fall down the stairs of the camper. She wasn’t hurt but it was a challenge for her to get up. She is a big lady and has issues with the knees. But she finally did it. When they got home she went to the doctor and then the hospital. They think she had a mild stroke. So she is resting but seems OK. Another situation of what came first, the chicken or the egg.

The motorcycle saga continues. I took all the fairings off this past week and did a visual check of the entire wiring harness. Didn’t find anything significant. Put power to things and started wiggling connectors and wires and could not reproduce the problem. While I was in that far I replace the air filter which looked like it hadn’t been replaced since I got the bike. After I got the fairings back on I had 6 screws left over. So now I have to go back over everything I did and see where I forgot to put these screws in. Also, I think I’m going to call MAX BMW up around Danbury, CT and see if they have any ideas I might try. Also want to get a price on a new Power Control Module (PCM) that takes the place of a fuse system. If it’s not too much I’ll order that and replace it.

I started doing better on the code this past week. But I dropped it Thursday as Stan was living in the downstairs. I will pick that up again tomorrow morning and hopefully won’t have lost too much progress.

That’s about it for this week. As always, hope this finds everyone safe and healthy. Stay that way and I’ll blog at you again next week.

  1. Thanks for checking up on me. As you said, all is well here. Cleaning out things means less to clean or organize. Who needs clutter!
