Happy Valentines day……………………………………..
As always, first the chronology:
02/09/25 – Sunday – Up around 8:30. Cleaned up and out to church with Kathy. Home and lunch. Down to do the blog. Julie called and said she tested positive for COVID. Since we were with them Tuesday I decided not to go to Gary’s today and possibly carry it to them. Took a nap with Kathy. Up and down for Mexican for dinner. Stopped at Country Mart for some groceries and Dairy Queen for a little dessert. Home and usual evening routine.
02/10/25 – Monday – Up at 6AM. Off to work. Manned the handicap entrance to the main courthouse from 8AM to 11:30. Home and Kathy was off grocery shopping. I had lunch then continued work on reloading my laptop. Kathy came home and I helped her put groceries away. Then she had lunch and I had dessert. Then a nap. Up and continued work on the laptop. Had dinner then usual evening routine.
02/11/25 – Tuesday – Up at 8AM. Cleaned up and out to get my haircut. Called in to see how court was going and it was almost over so I didn’t have to go in for that. Home and put the truck away. Had lunch and down to the shack to work on Python. Up and took a nap till dinner. Had dinner then usual evening routine.
02/12/25 – Wednesday – Up around 8:30. Kathy and I got ready and went into J-town and Krogers to get our Covid booster shots. Did some shopping and stopped at McDonald’s to pickup things for Julie and the kids. Then up to drop those items off. Back to the Yoki buffet for lunch. Home and let the truck out. Inside and down for a nap. Up and a snack for dinner. Then to bed early.
02/13/25 – Thursday – Up at 6AM and into work. Worked the door at the Circuit Court Clerks office from 7:30AM to 4PM. Home, and a nap. Up for dinner and usual evening routine.
02/14/25 – Friday – Up at 8AM. Kathy went to Costco to order a cake and do some other errands. I did computer work and got cleaned up. Kathy got home and we went to the local Mexican restaurant for lunch. Then to the church to clean. Home and took a nap. Up and into J-town for HAM testing at 5:30PM. Home around 7PM. Had a snack for dinner. Usual evening routine.
02/15/25 – Saturday – Up around 8:30AM. Did not feel well. Had breakfast and went back to bed till lunch time. Up for lunch and did some chores then back to bed. Up for dinner and took the computer to bed with me to do some documentation. Started feeling better by time to sleep. Did take a COVID test and it was negative.
Now the particulars:
Julie tested positive for COVID last weekend and that led to a couple events in our lives. First was getting our COVID booster on Wednesday. We have been putting that off or I should say we just never got around to doing that. And while we were out on Wednesday we ran some errands. By now Shelby was down with it so we got a couple kinds of Gatoraid at the grocery store and stopped at McDonalds and got them lunch. So that was our good deed for the week.
Monday I finished up re-loading the old laptop with the new software. Actually got some time to work on the Python course.
Work was light this week. Did a half day Monday and a full day Thursday.
Of course I wasn’t the brightest bulb on the block this week. I know, this is not news. But I got my COVID booster Wednesday and started a new strength of medicine on Thursday. Thursday I ached all over. Not sure what it was but I took a couple Tylenol at lunch and that fixed things. I’m also not sure why I felt like crap on Saturday. I realized it before I took my morning medication so I can’t believe it was that. Anyway, it cleared up by late in the day.
Well that’s about it for this week. Not really much more to mention. As always, hope this finds you safe and healthy. Stay that way and I’ll blog at you again next week.
Happy Belated Valentine’s Day to you!
Glad you tested negative for COVID…sorry that Julie got hit with it. Other than the allergies I get when I am over here in Florida…knock on wood…haven’t been sick.
My brother-in-law Allen started his bladder cancer treatments. All going well. Will have 6 or 7 treatments and then have another cystoscopy to see how things are.
Not much else happening here. Waiting to start big yard work. Don’t want to rake/pick up leaves numerous times.
Till next time…
