Not a super exciting week………………………………………………………….
As always, first the chronology:
03/02/25 – Sunday – Up around 8:30AM. Blew off church and Gary’s. Did computer work most of the day including the blog. Otherwise nothing spectacular.
03/03/25 – Monday – Up around 8:30AM. Cleaned up and got the truck out. Took Kathy up to the bank to do some investment shuffles. I turned in some change, got $200 out for next week and chatted with Jennifer and Emily. Then over to Walmart to pick up some things for my school next week. Up to the Longhorn Steakhouse for lunch. Home, put things away and a nap. Up and chores. A snack for dinner and usual evening routine.
03/04/25 – Tuesday – Got a call yesterday to be in work today. So up at 6AM and into work. Manned the handicapped entrance to the main courthouse from 8:30AM to 10:30AM. Short day. Home and changed clothes. Down to the Blue Moon at Noon to get my hair cut. Kathy was coming in as I was leaving and asked me to turn around and help her with getting the dogs out of the groomers and into the car. Then home and lunch. Took a nap. Up and chores. Dinner and usual evening routine.

Now the specifics:
I guess most of the week was getting ready for the next two weeks. I have to be down to Richmond, KY on Sunday the 9th at 4PM for orientation. Then the next two weeks from Monday through Friday will be training and testing. I’ll get to come home next weekend but it’s an hour and a half drive one way so I’ll be staying there Monday through Friday.
Monday this week we went shopping at Walmart for some things I needed. Nothing big, just toiletries, socks and a bag to carry everything. I also dug some stuff out of my motorcycle riding things like laundry bag, etc.
Tuesday I got done at work in time to get my hair cut as we have to be well groomed.
Thursday I went to the pain and spine management doctor and she thought everything was going along well. So that was good news. My friend Scot covered for me in the morning so I didn’t have to go into work till 1PM.
That’s about it for this week. Like I said, not a lot of exciting things. I’m not sure how the blog will work out next weekend. I’ll have to play that by ear.
As always, hope this finds you safe and well. Stay that way and I’ll try to blog again next week.
Went to Cocoa Beach from Saturday (3/8) until Thursday (3/13). We stayed at a friend’s condo on the beach just south of Kennedy Space Center. Was disappointed that the rockets didn’t launch when they were scheduled. However, we finally got to watch the Falcon 9 Starlink launch on Wednesday night that had been delayed numerous times. That launch went right overhead for us. Beautiful clear skies. The burn tail was beautiful colors. We missed out on the Falcon 9 Heavy, which was the manned launch going to the International Space Station. That is now launching Friday evening. We should be able to see it here at home since it launches to the Northeast. That would have been cool to see and hear since there is suppose to be a sonic boom with that launch. Tonight is the lunar eclipse. Crystal clear here to see that…if i am awake…it is already 12:10 am, so maybe I will make it.
Diana and I did some antique/ glassware shopping while we were there. Came home with a few pieces. Sure do miss doing that with Denise!
Grand-niece’s birthday on Sunday. Her name is Cove. She will be 4. Cake and ice cream on Sunday afternoon. Her sister (Isla) will be 1 year old on April 11. This year Aunt Lynn is getting them the Adventure Castle Playset from Sam’s Club. Then Brandon and I will be busy; it takes 10-12 hours to put it together! That should be FUN!
Enough for this week. Have “fun” at your training class/testing. Safe travels!
