Now the specifics:
I promised you some pictures so enjoy.

Here is a picture of the back yard after mowing and the 3 round bails they got off our field. They are apparently very busy as they have been out there almost a week now.

This is the wife’s Crepe myrtle that seems to be doing very well this year. Doesn’t smell much but is very pretty.
Anyway, we did the yard work Monday and Tuesday. I didn’t get home till almost 1PM on Monday so that was a late start. We decided to just mow and let the trimming till Tuesday. Tuesday I got out very early while it was still cool and got that all cleaned up. Probably the best the yard has look so far this year.
Light work week. Worked 4+ hours on Monday and my usual all day on Thursday. Next week will be different. We have Circuit Court plus drug court and probably a hearing or two so that will be a long day Wednesday. Then my usual day Thursday. And we are going out with the Mangum’s on Thursday evening for dinner.
Had a loose jack on my headset adapter for my POTA stuff so I fixed that this week.
LOTW stands for Log Book of the World. It is the ARRL’s online logging program that a lot of people use. The sad part is, if someone I contact uses it and I don’t upload to it, there contacts with me will never get verified for awards. So, I upload to 3 different online log books. But LOTW uses a certificate in the upload program as a security feature to make sure the uploads are really coming from the right person. They are good for 5 years and mine apparently expired sometime in June. So it was just a matter of requesting a new one which I got in 48 hours. Then the challenge on getting them installed. But all is good now.
Well that’s about it for this week. As always, hope this finds you safe and well. Stay that way and I’ll blog at you again next week.
Property looks great! Glad I don’t have that much to keep up here in Texas – also glad I have a yard guy to do it, especially with the Texas heat! Only have about 1.5 acres in Florida when I mow over there. Zero-turn mowers are wonderful! I hate weed wacking. Sure can’t wait for fall weather and the cooler temps. Been a very hot summer here. We are saying our prayers and keeping our fingers crossed until November 30th…the end of hurricane season.
