Not a busy week………………………………………….

As always, first the chronology:

3/24/19 – Sunday – Up and out to pick up Gary for church. Home and in bed for a nap. Lunch, then work on converting video files. Over to Gary’s for Sunday afternoon get together. Home and back to blog. Kathy called and we are having dinner with the Rice family at Chinese buffet. Back home, to my room, finished computer updates. Bed, TV and sleep.

3/25/19 – Monday – Up and chores. Helped Kathy get things ready for her ladies group meeting. Ran to Lowes for some longer aluminum rod but none to be found. Home and ordered it online. After the ladies met I helped clean up. Then bed, TV, computer updates and sleep.

3/26/19 – Tuesday – Up and out for some errands. Stopped at the bank, then Walmart for dog food for county animal shelter. Dropped dog food off then Chinese restaurant for lunch. Home and out to Morton building to work on antenna project. In and some computer work. Up for dinner and back to my room to play radio. Bed, Big Bang and sleep.

3/27/19 – Wednesday – Up and chores. Down to my room and did some research and computer work. Over to pickup Gary for dinner at Dare to Care. Back home. To bed, computer updates, Big Bang and sleep.

3/28/19 – Thursday – Up and some chores. My HAM friend Mike came over to work on his car. Then to the Mexican restaurant in Taylorsville. He went on his way and I went to Lowes for some shopping. Home and worked in the yard. Inside, dinner, downstairs and played radio. Up to bed, TV, computer research and sleep.

3/29/19 – Friday – Didn’t sleep well last night. Slow getting started. Kathy went into Louisville for her annual eye exam so I did the laundry and kitchen cleanup. Then down stairs and worked on the computers the rest of the day. Bed, some more computer updates, TV and sleep.

3/30/19 – Saturday – Over and helped my son-in-law with some problems. Home and took the wife out for lunch. Made some stops to shop. Then home and did some work in the Morton building. Inside and computer work. Dinner. Bed, TV and sleep.

Now the specifics:

Spent time Sunday and Monday getting things ready for Kathy to host her woman’s group from church.  After their meeting Monday evening I helped cleanup.  Kathy was happy with things so I’m glad I could help.  It was interesting as I sat in my room.  The ladies would pass by going from the family room where they had their meeting to the kitchenette where the food was.  Most would just glance in at the ham station and just keep going.  Only two ladies actually bothered to walk over.  Nancy who has been here before and Debbie the preacher’s wife.

The antenna project is coming along slow.  I have all the material for the most part.  Just not sure how I want to construct the driver elements.  It will come in time.  I’ll take a picture so you can roll your eyes at me when I’m done.

Spent some time in the yard this week.  Kathy was raking out flower beds then helped me cut and clear a tree that came down on our property.  The tree took part of the fence down between our place and the guy next to us that grazes cows in the field.  So I gave him a call and told him about the fence.

Only other thing was the cold front that blew through last night.  And blow it did.  Very strong winds.  Took out the power for several hours so my generator got a little workout.  But, it blew the opposite direction it blew the last time so it straightened up the antenna that it blew sideways earlier in the month.

I guess you get a break this week as that’s all I have.  Hope everyone is doing well.  Chat with you again next week.
