This will be short this week…………………………………………..

As always, first the chronology:

10/06/19 – Sunday – Up at 7AM, cleaned up and breakfast at the motel. Headed to Lake Jackson, TX. Arrived a little before 5PM. Spent time chatting with our friend Lynn who made a wonderful spaghetti dinner for us. More chatting, computer updates, sleep. Drove a total of 484.1 miles today.

10/07/19 – Monday – Up at the usual time. Cleaned up and out for breakfast. Took a tour around the area. Lynn took us over to Galvaston. Home around 3PM. Back out around 4:15 for Mexican dinner. Home and Kathy went out for a walk. I did computer updates, watched TV, bed and sleep. Only took the truck out for dinner and gas. Total miles 11.3.

10/08/19 – Tuesday – Up early, cleaned up and out on the road. Drove over to San Antonio for Kathy to see the Alamo and to check out the River Walk. Lynn rode along. Total miles today 440.5.

10/09/19 – Wednesday – Up and usual morning routine. Out for breakfast then shopping at Academy sports. Took Kathy home then Lynn and I went to the shotting range. Home and hung around the house. Out for dinner at a cajun place with some friends/neighbors of Lynn’s. Home and watched TV, computer updates, sleep.

10/10/19 – Thursday – Up, cleaned up and out for breakfast. Went shopping for souvenirs. Home and started laundry. Then packed for out trip home. Out for dinner at the Chinese buffet. Home, Kathy did her hair in preparation for travel tomorrow. I did computer updates, TV, bed and sleep. Total miles driven 14.3 miles today.

10/11/19 – Friday – Up early, cleaned up and departed Lynn’s around 7:30AM. Had a lot of rain traveling through Texas so we stopped for breakfast around 10AM. Stopped again around 1PM for a sandwich for lunch. Finally got to the motel around 5PM. Checked in and rested. Then down to the restaurant for dinner. The owner recognized us and we got dessert free. Back to the room, computer updates, TV and sleep. Total miles for today 485.5.

10/12/19 – Saturday – Up early, cleaned up and on the road a little before 7AM. Weather was good. Got home around 5PM. Kathy went to pick up Bella. I unpacked then went grocery shopping and picked up Chinese food for dinner. Downstairs and did computer work. Upstairs, to bed, TV and sleep. Total miles for the day 2as 522. Total miles for the trip was 2494.6.

Now the particulars:

Our trip to Texas was very productive and we made it home safely.  It was fantastic to see Lynn and we greatly appreciate everything she did for us.  I will get the pictures together and do a another blog entry on the trip.
