Nice easy going week but got lot’s done……………………………..

As always, first the chronology:

7/10/22 – Sunday – Up at the usual time.  Cleaned up and out to church.  Kathy had an upset stomach so she didn’t go.  Home and a sandwich for lunch.  Down to do the blog.  Up for a short nap.  Over to Gary’s for the afternoon get together.  Stopped on the way home from Gary’s for Chinese takeout.  Took it home and had dinner.  Usual evening routine except put my new keyer on the radio bench and wired it up.

7/11/22 – Monday – Up at the usual time. Kathy was off to watch the grand children and go to a doctor’s appointments.  I watched some youtube on fixing and working on the AL-811H amplifier.  Then out to the Morton building.  Changed the push button on the bay door and did all the 100 hour maintenance on the D170 yard tractor.  Inside, took the dogs out and had lunch.  A quick nap and my friend Patrick came over to pick up an old compressor I am getting rid of and some other scrap metal.  Inside and did come computer work.  Kathy came home, I got cleaned up and we had dinner.  Usual evening routine.

7/12/22 – Tuesday – Up at the usual time.  Kathy was off again watch grand kids.  I did some chores around the house then out and check over the motorcycle.  Rode over to Preston Highway for lunch at Hooter’s.  Home and more chores.  Took a nap.  Kathy came home and we had dinner.  Then over to Shelbyville on the motorcycle for the HAM club meeting.  Otherwise, usual evening routine.

7/13/22 – Wednesday – Up at the usual time.  Out a little late to do the yard work.  Finished up a little after 3PM.  Inside, cooled down, cleaned up, dinner and usual evening routine.

7/14/22 – Thursday – Up a little early and out to pick up Gary for our hair cuts.  Home and some chores around the house.  A light lunch.  Kathy went to get her hair done.  I took the truck into J-town and got it washed.  Got it gassed up.  Home and cleaned up.  Then out to dinner with the Craycrofts.  Some shopping on the way home.  Otherwise the usual evening routine.

7/15/22 – Friday – Got awake when I got a text message from my son-in-law.  I forgot he was dropping his car off at the garage.  So, got cleaned up and went to pick him up.  He took me to Lynda’s for breakfast.  Home and another cup of coffee.  Out to the Morton building and aired up the tires in the Chrysler.  Ran the generator.  Then to Taylorsville to drop off some propane tanks to be filled.  Back to the house.  Kathy was busy in the garden so Mike and I went to Dairy Queen for lunch and picked up Kathy a sandwich.  Mike got a text that his car was done so I dropped him off at the service center.  Home and more chores.  A short nap then dinner.  Usual evening routine.

7/16/22 – Saturday – Up at the usual time.  Chores around the house and cleaned up.  Lunch then setup to work the RTTY radio contest.  Our friend Leeta came over to play radio.  She stayed till around 6PM.  We had dinner than usual evening routine.

Now the specifics:

Kathy wasn’t feeling well last Sunday so she skipped church. I think the allergies in the Ohio Valley got to her. Headache and upset stomach.

She was in good shape to watch the grand kids Monday and Tuesday.

Tuesday I took advantage of Kathy not being home and the nice weather and rode the motorcycle over to Hooter’s for lunch. Then rode over to the HAM club meeting Tuesday evening. Put around 78 mile on the bike.

Wednesday was yard work day. It’s been dry so not a lot of work. But it did manage to screw up my right leg again. It’s slowly getting better but it’s a pain in the ass. Yes, I know, not literally but figuratively.

Thursday was hair cut day. Over to pick up Gary then drop him off afterward. He’s still not doing well. Between all his problems and of course his wife Loretta has her limitations. I’m not sure how much longer than can exist living with just the two of them.

Thursday night we had dinner with the Craycrofts. Mike is a HAM friend and Kathy gets along well with his wife Gloria. So we had a very nice time.

Friday the son-in-law dropped his car off at the repair shop over here. So I went down and picked him up at 8AM and we went to Lynda’s for breakfast. Back to the house and did chores in the Morton building. Kathy was busy in the garden so Mike and I went to Dairy Queen for lunch and picked up a sandwich and brought back to Kathy.

Saturday was the North American RTTY contest. Our friend Leeta is into RTTY so she wanted to come over and work the contest from our house. It started around 2PM and she had fun till around 6 and went home. I had dinner and worked a couple stations but I’m not into that much.
