Not much happening this week…………………………….

As always, first the chronology:

5/3/26 – Sunday – Up around 8AM. Cleaned up and out to church with Kathy. Leg hurt so blew off going to Gary’s. Went out to the Chinese Restaurant for dinner. Home and usual evening routine.

5/4/26 – Monday – Up around 9AM. Kathy went out early for a Dentist appointment. I got up and dressed. Went down to the Court Annex building and restocked the refrigerator with water. Stopped at ACE hardware on the way back and got cards for Kathy. Spent the rest of the day doing chores around the house.

5/5/26 – Tuesday – Up at 6AM and into work. Worked from 8AM to 1:30PM. Home and lunch. Took a nap. Up and some research online. Dinner and usual evening routine.

5/6/26 – Wednesday – Up at 6AM and into work. Worked from 8AM to 4PM. Stopped at the Dentist office on the way home. Home, had dinner and usual evening routine.

5/7/26 – Thursday – Up at 6AM and into work. Worked the door to the clerk’s office from 7:30AM to 4PM. Home, dinner and usual evening routine.

5/8/26 – Friday – Up at around 9AM. Had breakfast then out to start mowing. We got all that done but didn’t do the trimming. Inside and cleaned up. Out to Cattleman’s Steakhouse for dinner. Back to Taylorsville for some potting soil for Kathy and a stop at Dairy Queen for desert. Home and usual evening routine.

5/9/26 – Saturday – Up very late this morning. Had lunch and Kathy took off to watch Carter play tennis. I worked on some projects in the shack. Had three to start with, got 2 down and added one so I still have three. Snacked for lunch and dinner. Kathy came home and had a snack. Usual evening routine

Now the particulars:

Not sure why but my left leg raised hell on Sunday. Could hardly make it through church. I texted Mike and told him I wouldn’t be over to Gary’s then went home, had lunch and went to bed. Put heat on my back and cold on my knee and everything seemed OK on Monday.

Basically, the rest of the week was just getting things done. Monday while out restocking the water supply at work I got Kathy a birthday card and Mother’s day card.

Her birthday was Friday and I asked her what she wanted and what she might want to do. All she said was she wanted to mow the yard so it looked good for Mother’s Day. So on Friday for her Birthday we were on the mowers doing yard work.

Wednesday while at work I notice a little tenderness on my face just below my nose on the upper gum line. I had expected I’d have to make an appointment but they weren’t doing anything so I went in and the dentist said I need a root canal. So the next morning when his secretary was in they ordered some Amoxycillin to take. So I started that and called the folks where I usual go for root canals and since it wasn’t an emergency they scheduled me for June. Then Friday they called back and said they wouldn’t take my insurance so I called and got a list of folks here that would and next week I’ll have to change that appointment. The tenderness has been gone for the most part so I think it will just be an evaluation.

I’m looking forward to this coming week. I should have a short day Monday and of course my full day Thursday at work. But Wednesday I have the appointment with the surgeon that will be doing my knee replacement. More on that next week.
