A tough week……………………………………………………………………….
As always, first the chronology:

6/8/26 – Monday – Up at 6AM. Dressed and out to work. Worked the handicap entrance for Family court till a little after 1PM. Home, had lunch then a nap. Up and chores around the house. Dinner and usual evening routine.
6/9/26 – Tuesday – Spent most of the day on the safe driving course. Got from 41% to 60% complete. Morris electric came to do the annual maintenance on the Generac. Kathy gave blood. We had dinner the usual evening routine.
6/10/26 – Wednesday – Up at 6AM and into work. Worked the handicap entrance again from 8AM to 4PM. Home, dinner and usual evening routine.
6/11/26 – Thursday – Up at 6AM and into work. Worked my regular shift at the circuit court clerks office from 7:30AM to 4PM with an hour off for lunch. Home, dinner and usual evening routine.
6/12/26 – Friday – Up at 8AM. Cleaned up and out to see our new Primary Care person. She seems very nice. Young and slender. Very knowledgeable. Stopped at the accountant’s office on the way home to pay for them doing our taxes and to pick up the paperwork. Home, lunch then finished up the safe driving course, printed the completion certificate and Kathy will send those off to the insurance company. Had dinner and usual evening routine.
6/13/26 – Saturday – Up late, around 10AM. Julie came over for Kathy to color her hair. I spent time with them while she was here. She left and we had lunch. Spent the rest of the day sleeping and resting. First down day I’ve had in a couple weeks. Had dinner and usual evening routine.
Now the particulars:
I blew off church again this week. If you’ve been to a Lutheran church it’s somewhat like the Catholic church. Stand up sit down rah, rah, rah. And as my knee deteriorates more, I’m not able to do that. Perhaps next week I’ll give it a try.
I worked three days this week. Monday 1/2 day and full days Wednesday and Thursday. I’m going to tell the boss that I can’t do two full days together. My legs won’t handle it. Should not be a problem as there is only one week before my surgery that I’m scheduled like that. And, if they don’t like it, I can always quit.
Friday I went to our new PCP. She is a nurse practitioner. Seems very nice. Had lots of laughs during my visit and she seems very flexible. She didn’t come across like she wanted to change the world. Just took the history which she had most of and then told me if I need refills on anything just text her. So that was a relief as the last newbie we tried when we first came down here want to change everything. We will see how things go.
I finally finished that damn safe driving course. They claim it’s a 4 hour course but I took two full days to do it. Now I’ve done many online course in my life so I don’t think it’s my problem. But anyway, it’s done and when Kathy sends the certificates into the insurance we should see a couple hundred dollars savings in a year.
Got the taxes back from the accountant. Getting money back from the state and the federal governments so that’s all good.
Well that’s about it for this week. 4 more weeks till I get my knee cut open. Man am I looking forward to that. As always, hope this finds you all safe and healthy. Stay that way and I’ll blog at you again next week.
